Hi, I'm Becky --- Maker, Mom, and the Heart Behind Better Together OBX

If we were sitting at my kitchen table together, you’d probably find me with paint on my hands, a cup of coffee nearby, and ocean pigments swirling in a mixing cup. Creating has always been part of who I am — but I never expected it to grow into a business that connects my family to yours in such a meaningful way.

Better Together OBX began as a simple creative outlet during a season of life when I needed space to breathe. One day, I poured my first ocean wave board… and something just clicked. That calming mix of art, craft, and ocean inspiration quickly became a passion, and soon our home transformed into a small coastal studio.

Every board you see on this site is handcrafted by me — poured, sanded, shaped, and finished with intention and care. I love that each piece turns out a little different, just like the real ocean. No two waves are ever the same, and that’s exactly what makes each board personal and special.

But here’s the truth:
